[Sorry, what was he saying? Oh, a jacuzzi tub, right. She'd probably check out more of those features in a bit, but for now, she was enjoying the warmth of the water. The sound of his voice speaking lowly to her was a nice touch, too. Seems he's given her a pretty good workout.]

You look like you're about to fall asleep. Why don't you come over here, mm? Sit on my lap so you don't wind up sinking under the water.

[That, and he really just liked the notion of still touching her.]

[She opened her eyes to gaze at him for a moment before she lifted herself up, wading her way through the water until she was close enough to crawl into his lap.]

Stopping me from drowning is probably your secondary motive, isn't it?

[Still, she looked comfortable where she was, at ease just laying against him. And if she put extra thought and attention into touching him, then it was only because she wanted him to feel her affection for him.]

A very close second, but yes.

[His arms fit around her, tucking her in against him as he rested his cheek along the top of her head. He could feel the little touches, soft reminders that she was there -- as if he could forget. He slowly scooped water over the parts of her above water; her chest, her back, her shoulder. Carefully around her neck.]

Comfy?

Mmhm.

[She was, especially nestled so close to him and when he was paying such careful attention to her. The warmth of the water has gooseflesh rising over her arms as she turns to press a kiss against the side of his neck, just enjoying the feel of him against her.

After a few short moments, her eyes slowly open and she begins to speak as a new thought comes to her.]

Lucifer. Can I ask you something?

Anything.

[Which didn't mean he had to answer it, but she was always free to question him in whatever way she wanted. Especially when she was naked in his lap in hot water, curled up against him while laying lazy kisses on him.]

When you showed me your... other face, you knew you had your wings back. [A pause, considering how to word this.] What made you choose to show me your face instead of your wings?

[He didn't still in petting her, still pouring water slowly over her shoulder and back as he smiled.]

Because I didn't think it was fair. When I called you, when I was coming to see you, I didn't have my wings. I didn't-- it didn't feel right to take the easy way out when I was prepared to show you the worst of me. I promised I'd tell you, and that was what I was going to tell you.

[She's quiet for a moment, mulling that over. Her arms drift over his back in a brief display of comfort.]

It's not... [No. Try again.] The wings, your face, the whole eye thing. That's— they're all you to me. You know that, right? I know how I reacted at first wasn't exactly calm, but you're my partner. I accept all of you. Including the red skin.

It's not the same, love. I'm the only one of my siblings that doesn't just have the wings. I Fell. I burned. It's a mark to prove it. That is what I am, Chloe. I'm not just fluffy wings and angelic abilities. I'm the Devil.

That's what I'm trying to say, though. The whole Devil, son of God thing. All of those are you. You Falling... it shaped who you are. And I like who you are. A lot. You don't have to be like your siblings for that to be true.

[He was quiet then for a moment, hand stilling on her shoulder as he just took that in. Took her and her words and her goodness in and felt something melting inside him.]

I'm not good enough, you know. For you. For... up there. I don't know what twisted part of your mind gravitates towards the wrong men, but...

[A small smile, Lucifer moving to kiss the top of her head.]

I'm grateful for it. For you.

Being good enough has nothing to do with it. I made my choice. I stand by that.

[She feels him kiss her and smiles, leaning up to do the same.]

I could say the same for you.

You would...

[Wrong or right, Chloe wasn't the type to be wishy washy about her decisions. Unless he truly spoiled the whole thing, he was, hopefully, stuck with her.]

You undo me.

This gonna be a repeat of your whole beach monologue?

[A gentle smile forms on her lips as she pulls back just enough to look at his face.]

Anyhow, let's enjoying this for a little while longer and then finish up. If you wash my back, I'll feed you some of those fancy chocolates in the other room.

I meant what I said.

[He always did. Especially with her. Smiling back down at her, he leaned in and gave her forehead a soft kiss.]

I'd like that. It's odd, but I don't feel like I'm in any rush to do much of anything at the moment. I--

[A quiet look of reflection on his face, his eyes focusing on hers.]

You're staying, yes? With me? This is... beyond tonight?

[There's a teasing quip she could make at that; a flippant joke about him not wanting sex for once. But then that quiet expression falls over him and she waits, reaching up to cup his jaw when he finally speaks.]

Yeah. [A smile.] Yeah, it is. You're too special to me for it not to be.

[He hadn't realized he'd been holding his breath until it came out in a whoosh, a soft laugh accompanying it as he lifted a hand to cup over one of hers on his face.]

Well then. I've nothing to worry about, have I. And the room's ours for the whole night -- and the next day. Didn't want to rush anything.

How thoughtful of you.

[There's a teasing if affectionate lilt to her voice there, a smile breaking out across her face.]

You know, I think I'd prefer a night in to dancing, anyhow.

I'm happy to do whatever you want, as long as I get to keep doing it with you.

[He dragged her hand to his mouth, pressing a kiss to her palm and keeping his eyes on her, that not yet named feeling glowing softly in his eyes.]

Then it's a deal.

[Said easily as she watches him back, a sweet smile and gentle look in her eyes as she watches him back with that same emotion.]

So. Want to grab that body wash over there?

Not really. That involves moving and I'm rather pleased with where I am.

We're going to be sitting here until we both prune. Hope that's a new experience you're excited for.

[Nevertheless, she waded in closer towards him, pressing her front right against his chest to embrace him.]

I'm looking forward to any experience with you, Chloe.

[Yes, Chloe. Your new boyfriend was a sap.]

[Boyfriend, huh? She might like the sound of that, should it ever be said out loud.

She presses a kiss against his chest before resting her cheek against him.]

I'll try my best to make it worthwhile.
