[He set his fork down, leaning forward as he pushed his plate in, giving him room to rest his arms on the table.]

I'd have you right now. I'd enjoy the elevator ride up to the suite, then I'd see if I could make your knees buckle before we ever got to the bed. And then, I'd have my dessert. A long, lingering, tasty dessert.

[Well, then. She shifted in her seat, ignoring the heat flushing through her.]

Trust me. I got that point loud and clear. I've gotten it since we met.

[He licked his lower lip, drawing it in between his teeth and letting it drag out. His eyes raked over her as he took his time, let himself enjoy the view and any reactions she might have.]

[She took another sip of her wine, and felt a strange sense of calm overtake her at his admission. Oh, she was worked up for sure. But underneath that, she sensed that need there, that edge that teetered onto desperation. That he dreamed about her spoke volumes, and she couldn't help but give him something in return.]

We might've had similar experiences. Maybe.

[The idea of not trying his best with her didn't even register. Of course, he'd also never enjoyed sex or intimacy with any sort of emotion behind it. Ah, Chloe. What a night of actual lovemaking might do to ruin the devil...]

[He leaned back then, shifting a little in his seat to better caress the side of her ankle with his foot as he drew his plate back in again, picking up his fork to take another bite.]

[He liked to talk up the experience and use the usual Devil charm on her, probably because that was what he knew. She couldn't fault him for it, and she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy the attention. But they'd also long gotten past the point of him trying to lure her into bed; he didn't need to feel that pressure of her turning him down or working extra hard.

At the mention of sharing, she snorted, perhaps with more amusement than generally expected of someone with a naughty dream.]

Absolutely no way. You'd laugh.

Chloe... you can't say that and not expect me to want to know. A sexy dream about me would make me laugh?

[Then a pause, a look of uncertainty coming over his face.]

Daniel isn't involved, is he? Or my brother?

[Yes, Chloe, he remembered how taken you'd been with Amenadiel when you'd first met him. Bloody brother...]

[She reached forward over the table, knowing he was too far away and yet wanting to wipe that uncertain look off his face regardless.]

It was one of those dreams that started off fine. And then just got weird.

[Relief, then. Even in her dreams, the idea of her preferring someone over him bothered him and that was... peculiar in itself. Still, when she reached across the table, he did the same, fingers sliding over hers as if he couldn't not touch her for another moment.]

I like weird. I'm curious what your definition of both 'fine' and 'weird' are.

[She hadn't quite expected him to take her hand, but when he did, she smiled over at him, eyes lit with a gentle kind of ease. With a sigh, she chewed on her lip for a moment, thinking of how to actually say it.]

We were in your penthouse back at Lux. Having a good time. And right in the middle, it got surreal. Except I hadn't thought it was weird until I woke up. Just one of those awkward dream things.

Surreal... how, exactly? Come on, love. I thought I was the master of teasing. I'm all but starving of curiosity now.

[As if to emphasize, she picked off a large bite and plopped it in her mouth. Maybe to give herself more time. And then, shaking her head and rolling her eyes at herself, because really, Decker, she spoke.]

There might've been a Devil theme involved.

[He pouted at her across the table until she relented. Barely. He rolled his eyes, pointing a finger at her across the table.]

Spit it out, woman. Or I'll not tell you the one I had.

Funny, I think I'd be able to live with that.

[Reaching across the table, she gripped that accusatory finger in hers and glanced back down at her plate.]

Horns. You had horns.

[He opened his mouth to say something, then paused.]

You pictured me with horns?

[He wasn't entirely sure how to feel about that. On the one hand, perhaps it was her subconscious trying to tell her that he was what he was. On the other, was that... good? Were horns sexy?]

Was it... ah... bad?

[She has to admit, she's a little surprised his first reaction wasn't to laugh at her and tell her that of course her dream was ridiculous because he didn't actually have horns, Detective, we've been over this.]

Opposite of bad. Which is why it was weird.

[She looked like she still wasn't telling him everything, but really now, did he have to know all the nitty gritty details?]

[Oh. Well. There was that smile now.]

You like the idea of bedding the Devil? Oh, love. I can't make the horns a reality, but I can certainly give you something wicked.

[A waggle of his brows, then he lifted up out of his chair enough to lean in and press a kiss to her hand before sitting again, still holding her if she let him.]

What do you want in bed, mm? You don't quite seem the rough and tumble type. No candles either.

[She did let him, letting her thumb trail over his knuckles as she tossed him a look as if he was being odd again.]

Why, you want a whole checklist right here and now at the dinner table?

If you like. I can wait, though. I've waited this long.

[The look he gave her was almost dreamy, something fond and sweet and a smile that was just that little naughty at the edges as he looked at her across the table.]

If you did, I'd have to see how many I could cross off for you in a night.

[Oh, she liked that smile, and especially how it always seemed to reach his eyes. That genuine glee there. It made her want to put it there more often, to never see it leave.]

Why a night? You in a rush or something?

To have you? ... Maybe more than I thought I was. But I do like the idea of making a game of it. It should be fun, shouldn't it.

[And maybe there was a part of him that wanted it to be more than just fun, but he still wasn't entirely sure what else sex could be like. what sex with someone you loved could be like.]
