Right on time.

[She'd noticed him leaning in and had begun to do the same when the waiter dropped in to present their food, which had her drawing back into her seat with a coy little smile. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to have that kind of discussion or interaction after they'd eaten.

Still, she allowed herself to nudge him from under the table with her foot in a teasing kind of acknowledgment before she went about trying her lizard chicken. She chewed thoughtfully for a moment before letting out a low noise of satisfaction.]

That's actually not bad. What do you think?

[He felt that nudge, grinning over at her as he let his foot settle against hers, lifting hers a little towards him under the table while he cut off a piece and chewed it thoughtfully.]

Not bad. I'd have to have a bad piece to see if there's a way to muck it up, or maybe try making it myself to see what the base flavor is, but I like the subtle seasoning. Succulent, which can be hard for white meat. something juicy that you just want to drew out the flavor on for a good long while...

[Was he talking about the food, or was he perhaps using the opportunity to flirt? Perhaps both.]

[She caught that, no perhaps about it. Especially when coupled with the positioning of their legs and how he drew her closer in subtle invitation. It was more uncoordinated than she'd like, considering she was wearing boots, but it was easy to brush her foot up along the side of his calf.]

I didn't realize you liked to cook. Figured you more for an eating out or personal chef kind of guy. I like the seasoning on this too, though. Not too overpowering, but there's definitely a burst of flavor right at the end. Bit of a pleasant surprise from what you'd expect just looking at it.

[Excuse you, Chloe, but he was a fabulous cook. He never did anything half-assed, and cooking was no exception.

Neither was seduction, or his attempt at it as he tucked his chair a bit closer to the table to give him room to let her slide her leg up a bit further -- if she wanted.]

Though, I certainly do enjoy eating out...

[He bit his lip, looking up at her with that cheeky smile to let her know exactly what he meant.]

Delicious is a bit suspect, considering I never got the opportunity to actually try it.

[She'd been in such a hurry kicking him out of her house and all. For all she knew, it could be terrible.

At the quiet sound of his chair scuttling forward, she grinned and shook her head at him, but carefully moved her leg up just a bit higher. She was grateful for the dimmed lights and cover of the table cloth.]

Yeah, I kind of got that hint. Since you keep bringing up how much you love it and all. I'm not entirely convinced you're not all talk.

Well, whose fault is that, mm? After all the trouble I went through...

[And yet who didn't sound the slightest bit actually bothered by it?

His smile told just how unbothered he was by it as he felt her foot creep a little higher up his leg, that familiar ache starting low in his groin as he stared at her across the table.]

I will happily prove at your convenience that I'm not.

[A grin as he speared another piece of meat and popped it in his mouth.]

After all the trouble breaking into my house, you mean. I almost shot you.

[She kept her leg where it was, occasionally nudging at him just to remind him that she was there, and didn't go any further. Wouldn't want to be inappropriate, and all.

She took another bite of her food before she spoke again, eyes trained on him.]

We'll see. We've still got a full night planned, don't we? Might be awhile.

There's no reason we can't play out the evening as we prefer. A little dinner. A little... dessert. A little dancing. More dessert.

[He watched her eat, just enjoying the simple act of the way she placed food in her mouth. All those little licks to her lips that had him shifting in his seat.

Fine. He might be just as needy as she was at the moment, only he hadn't figured out that she was needy. He was just trying very hard to steer her towards where he wanted -- which was her naked.]

I'll think about it. I'm enjoying myself right now as it is.

[A grin as she went to take another bite, easing her leg back just enough to relieve some of the pressure there. Because as needy as she was, she was having fun so far. Just being with him, and yes, the easy flirtation helped too.]

I'm alright with letting things play out as they will.

So... if I wanted to get dessert to go to eat off you...

[A question there, a lingering tease of a smile as he took another bite, lips pressing over the fork before he flicked his tongue out against it. His eyes never strayed from hers. Oh, they were playing a game tonight. That teasing back and forth held more weight behind it now. He'd tasted a bite of her passion. He'd felt her pressing him up against something, heard those eager little sounds she could make, and he wanted more.]

[That actually got a surprised chuckle out of her, a hand reaching up to press against her chest as she coughed. She tried to glance away from him to recover her wits, because she knew he was doing something suggestive with his tongue right then, before she allowed them to stray back to his. At that intense need reflected there.]

Are you saying you need something extra to sweeten the deal? I'm not sure if I should be offended.

Oh, I'm quite positive you're sweet enough. Sweet and hot and tempting...

[Another quirk of his brow before he reached for his wine again.]

I'd have you instead of dessert, if the option was available.

Who said it wasn't?

[She mirrored his look, quirking her brow at him.]

Let me reiterate...

[He set his fork down, leaning forward as he pushed his plate in, giving him room to rest his arms on the table.]

I'd have you right now. I'd enjoy the elevator ride up to the suite, then I'd see if I could make your knees buckle before we ever got to the bed. And then, I'd have my dessert. A long, lingering, tasty dessert.

[Well, then. She shifted in her seat, ignoring the heat flushing through her.]

Trust me. I got that point loud and clear. I've gotten it since we met.

Mm, but it's different now, isn't it? Now you want it almost as much as I do. Now you're tempted.

[He licked his lower lip, drawing it in between his teeth and letting it drag out. His eyes raked over her as he took his time, let himself enjoy the view and any reactions she might have.]

I'd very much like you to give in to that temptation, Chloe. You've been my desire for a good while now. I have dreams about you. I wake up all hard and aching and you're not there and it's torment.

You say 'give in' like I'm surrendering to something. You really don't have to try so hard, Lucifer.

[She took another sip of her wine, and felt a strange sense of calm overtake her at his admission. Oh, she was worked up for sure. But underneath that, she sensed that need there, that edge that teetered onto desperation. That he dreamed about her spoke volumes, and she couldn't help but give him something in return.]

We might've had similar experiences. Maybe.

[The idea of not trying his best with her didn't even register. Of course, he'd also never enjoyed sex or intimacy with any sort of emotion behind it. Ah, Chloe. What a night of actual lovemaking might do to ruin the devil...]

[He leaned back then, shifting a little in his seat to better caress the side of her ankle with his foot as he drew his plate back in again, picking up his fork to take another bite.]

Mm. Not really. I've already decided how I feel about you. I don't need extra convincing.

[He liked to talk up the experience and use the usual Devil charm on her, probably because that was what he knew. She couldn't fault him for it, and she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy the attention. But they'd also long gotten past the point of him trying to lure her into bed; he didn't need to feel that pressure of her turning him down or working extra hard.

At the mention of sharing, she snorted, perhaps with more amusement than generally expected of someone with a naughty dream.]

Absolutely no way. You'd laugh.

Chloe... you can't say that and not expect me to want to know. A sexy dream about me would make me laugh?

[Then a pause, a look of uncertainty coming over his face.]

Daniel isn't involved, is he? Or my brother?

[Yes, Chloe, he remembered how taken you'd been with Amenadiel when you'd first met him. Bloody brother...]

No, no, nothing like that. It was just the two of us.

[She reached forward over the table, knowing he was too far away and yet wanting to wipe that uncertain look off his face regardless.]

It was one of those dreams that started off fine. And then just got weird.

Oh.

[Relief, then. Even in her dreams, the idea of her preferring someone over him bothered him and that was... peculiar in itself. Still, when she reached across the table, he did the same, fingers sliding over hers as if he couldn't not touch her for another moment.]

I like weird. I'm curious what your definition of both 'fine' and 'weird' are.

[She hadn't quite expected him to take her hand, but when he did, she smiled over at him, eyes lit with a gentle kind of ease. With a sigh, she chewed on her lip for a moment, thinking of how to actually say it.]

We were in your penthouse back at Lux. Having a good time. And right in the middle, it got surreal. Except I hadn't thought it was weird until I woke up. Just one of those awkward dream things.

Surreal... how, exactly? Come on, love. I thought I was the master of teasing. I'm all but starving of curiosity now.

Maybe you should eat your food then.

[As if to emphasize, she picked off a large bite and plopped it in her mouth. Maybe to give herself more time. And then, shaking her head and rolling her eyes at herself, because really, Decker, she spoke.]
