[He was quick to wind their fingers together, happily taking any little opening she gave him as the lift descended six floors down before opening. He again gestured for her to precede him, partway, since he wasn't letting go of her hand.]

I'll take weird over nothing happening at all. Waiting for the 'right' moment would mean going home, and depending on how long that takes... well. Sooner is better.

I would prefer going home to be sooner than not, but this... this in itself is good.

[She liked the idea of them strengthening their partnership. Moving forward. Moving to something better, which seemed to be on the horizon as she led him by the hand outside of the lift, gesturing towards the door that'd show them outside. Her other hand held onto that rose he'd given her, a lovely shade of red and black that matched her dress.]

Speaking of which, how have you been? Settling in and all.

[His free hand held the door open, the other holding hers so they could make their way outside into the evening that had a sun still up, but threatening to set in the next couple hours to give them a more secluded feeling to their evening. The car waited down below, driver by the door that he opened as they exited the building.]

[The car acquired just for them seemed like a bit much, but she wasn't going to protest it. It was a nice gesture for him to go out and do that, though she did feel just a little awkward sliding into the back as the door shut behind her. She was used to driving herself.]

[They settled in their seats and the driver went around to get in the car, the vehicle taking off from the curb with a soft purr of its engine.]

[He'd stopped by, yes. To see how she was doing. And yes, take pictures. She crossed her leg over the other and his eyes were drawn to the motion -- where they stayed.]

[She waved at him to take the phone away, not needing to see any more of the evidence.]

Lucifer, for future reference? Taking creep shots isn't exactly an attractive quality. Just saying.

[But she was waving the phone away now and Lucifer was confused.]

I was hardly paparazzi in your bedroom, Detective. You were out in public. I wasn't hiding behind any shrubs. You just... didn't notice me at that moment and I took advantage. I was making sure you were well.

[And here he was, thinking he'd put his foot in it again.]

[She grimaced at the 'backside' comment, having half a mind to reach over and try to take that phone from him after all.]

Casually making sure I was well is all well and good. The picture-taking without me knowing? Not okay. Please don't do that again.

[It's a good thing he'd tucked his phone away from deleting fingers, patting it in place as he looked over at her.]

I wanted something to remember you by. In case you... Well. In case it went the other way. And I never did get to see you in your uniform back home.

[Understandable, yet still bad behavior. And yet look at how fond of him she is.]

Well, clearly you don't need them for that. If you'd really like pictures, I'd let you take some, you know. While I'm looking. Maybe even together.

[She sighed and shook her head, though she couldn't hide the soft smile gracing her features as she held his hand in return.]

And that look didn't go away as the car pulled up to the curb in front of a rather swanky looking hotel. The door was opened and Lucifer moved to get out, shooing away the valet standing there and holding his hand out for Chloe to come with him.]

[She bit her lip as he shooed the poor man away, feeling it twitch up in amusement. She may have said he wasn't cute, but he was doing this with so much obvious enjoyment and excitement that she found it rubbing off on her.

Alright. So he's a little adorable. Sue her.

She took his hand, using him as a guide as she scooted out of the car.]

Did you strike some deal to get us booked here too?

I may have inquired as to whether there was a room available, should one be needed at some point.

[He drew her to her feet, kissing her hand before lowering it to keep it in his, leading her up towards the hotel proper.]
